Starting tomorrow, Tuesday 15 October, 26 young footballers will start their preparations ahead of the first round of European qualifiers, which will take place in Luxembourg from 24 to 30 October. There the Under-17 National Team will take on the host nation Luxembourg, Northern Ireland and Turkey.

The 26 players called up by Daniele Zoratto, all born in 2003, will meet at the Olympic Training Centre in Tirrenia: following the friendly match against Empoli’s U17s on Sunday 20 October, the Coach will announce the list of 20 players called up for the first round. Italy will then play their first game in the tournament against Luxembourg on Thursday 24 October (19:00 CEST KO) at the Municipal Stadium in Rumelange, which will also host the second match against Northern Ireland at the same time on Sunday the 27th. The third and final match in Group 2 will be played on Wednesday 30 October at 19:00 CEST, this time at the John Grun Stadium in Mondorf-les Bains. The top two of each group along with the best four third-placed teams will then progress to the final stage of the tournament.
