FIFA World Rankings: Italy drop to 16th place, Brazil climb to second spot
The Seleção leap over France into second position after their success in the Copa América. There are also big advancements for Colombia (8th, +5) and for Mexico (12th, +6).Thursday, July 25, 2019
Italy lose two places in the FIFA World Rankings and drop to 16th, level with The Netherlands in a table still led by Belgium. Thanks to their success in the Copa América Brazil force France out of second spot, while Uruguay gain three places as they rise to 5th. There are also big advancements for Colombia, from 13th to 8th, and for Mexico, from 18th to 12th. Germany drop four places, now in 15th where they sit 13 points ahead of Italy. The next FIFA World Rankings will be released on 19 September.
