FIFA Ranking: Italy finished 2019 in 13th, having picked up 68 points

Roberto Mancini’s Italy side finish 2019 in 13th on the FIFA Ranking which continues to be led by Belgium ahead of France and Brazil. There was no change in the make-up of the table since it was last published, with the Azzurri on 1,607 points, only one behind Switzerland on 1,608 and ahead of Netherlands and Germany.
The year has finished in a very positive fashion for Italy with the side qualifying for EURO 2020 on full points and the team has picked up 68 ranking points compared to a year ago and the side has made the sixth-most progress since 2018. The next FIFA ranking will be published on 20 February.
