After establishing that no airline company would be able to guarantee the Women’s National Team a return flight from Portugal from Thursday 12 March onwards, the FIGC have reached a decision together with Coach Milena Bertolini and the Azzurre themselves to fly home as a squad as soon as possible on Wednesday. The early return will mean that Italy will forfeit the Algarve Cup final against Germany, with the game scheduled for 18:45 local time at the Da Bela Vista Stadium in Parchal.

The FIGC’s number one priority is to guarantee the safe return of the entire delegation and would like to thank the Portuguese and German federations for their cooperation and understanding at this difficult time.
