The women's footballing movement in Italy is still enjoying continued growth. As of 30 June 2017, there were a total of 23,665 female players signed up to the FIGC (12,747 aged under-18) and 677 organisations. 12 of these are in Serie A, while 57 are in Serie B as of 2017-18.
